Nutrition Ninja

Nutrition Ninja provides healthy Indian tiffin delivered to customers across Surrey, Canada. Their customers are professionals looking for healthy meals to keep up with their busy schedules, students seeking healthy yet affordable meal options and families who appreciate the taste and convenience of freshly cooked meals.

Their current ordering process involves too much manual administration. As order volumes grew, this process became more cumbersome. Changing subscriptions, dealing with customers, and handling orders takes too many employees to scale efficiently while providing a seamless customer experience.

Working with Ecommerce Excellence we built Nutrition Ninja a custom headless commerce platform that automated vital business workflows and gave customers control. Integrating a sleek frontend with smart backend automation allows us to simplify daily operations while creating a scalable platform that reduces manual work for staff.

Nutrition Ninja was growing quickly, but their operations couldn’t quite keep up. They were looking for technology that could easily scale to meet the demands of subscription commerce without adding to their admin burden.

• Multiple spreadsheets: Orders were entered into several spreadsheets and siloed workflows. This caused redundant administration, slower order processing times, and increased opportunity for error.
• Operational Visibility: Scaling the business would become more difficult without insight into orders, subscriptions, and deliveries all in one place. As the customer base grew, there was no centralized system in place to keep track of it all.
• Manual processes: Ordering wasn’t as convenient as customers expected from a subscription experience. Customers also found it difficult to customize their meals and schedule repeat deliveries.
• Not scalable: Nutrition Ninja’s processes couldn’t handle the growth they wanted for their business without adding lots more resources.

Ecommerce Excellence was challenged to build them a custom headless commerce platform to automate operations and provide customers with a blazing fast and effortless experience.

• Headless Ecommerce Development: We developed their frontend using Next.js creating a high-performance experience with faster page loads, better responsiveness and a unified experience across all devices.
• Automatic Subscription Platform: Give customers the power to create, update, pause, resume and cancel meal subscriptions themselves. Saving time for admin staff and empowering customers.
• UX / UI Design: Users were spending too much time browsing for meals and enduring the checkout process. Required a user-centric shopping experience.
• Scalable System Architecture: We architected the platform to support future growth, so Nutrition Ninja can support additional services, integrations and order volume.
